What is an atomizer?

An atomizer is such a device which converts a stream of liquid into a spray. This special device is utilized in the pharmaceutical and perfume industries as well as in your kitchens and for the cleaning purposes. Most of the people utilize an atomizer of some form or another for at least once a day. An atomizer might be known by some other names also. Inhalers for medication squirt bottles, perfume bottles and cooking spray that emit a mist all fall under the definition of atomizer.

What are the components of an atomizer?

There are many different components in a normal atomizer. The first component is a bottle that contains the substance to be turned to a spray. A tube is designed so as to fit inside the bottle that is connected to a nozzle. When you want to use the atomizer, you need to depress the top of the nozzle or squeeze a bulb to make a flow of air across the nozzle that pulls the liquid up from the tube and through the tip. As the liquid goes through the nozzle, a screen makes it to disperse into a fine spray.

Why atomizer is used?

Generally, the atomizer is used to dispense something in small and controlled amounts. An atomizer for medical purpose is perhaps of the most precise type as it is designed to dispose a metered dose of medication to the patient. Other types are not necessarily much exact but these types still dispense far less substance than the other delivery methods such as pouring the substance from the open topped bottle.

How atomizers are used?

When used in a perfume bottle, an atomizer makes a light and evenly sprays which covers a considerably large area. As a general rule of thumb, perfume should not be taken to smell by anyone except the person who is wearing it, or persons who are in close physical attachment with that individual. Perfume spray bottles are sometimes made from glass and with some other ornamental materials so that they are functional as well as decorative and many of them are available at some specialty stores.

In cooking, spray bottles are highly useful for dispensing little amounts of ingredients. Cooking oils can come in the can which dispenses a fine spray that covers the whole cooking pan; other ingredients also come in similar bottles or cans so that chefs can add a dash of flavor to a particular dish. Bartenders sometimes utilize atomizers in order to add a faint flavor to the drink without any overpowering in it. Many companies sell various tools that are designed for the kitchen which can be filled by consumers with a substance of your choice.
